ENID BLYTON , was one of the most popular & prolific writers of children's books in english . In a 40-year, she wrote more than 700 books that have been translated into nearly 70 languages .
Enid Blyton was born on August 11, 1897 at East Dulwich in London . She was first child of Thomas Carey & Theresa Blyton. Enid inherited her father's love for books and the outdoors. She had two brother's, Hanley & Carey.
Some of her stories, aimed at young readers , featured pixels & elves, goblins & fairies . But among her adventure & mystery books for older children, the most famous is ,The famous five series which has lovable characters Julian, Dick, Anne, George & their dog Timmy.
Enid Blyton has the distinction of having introduced generations to the pleasure of books.
